“Paper Airplanes”

After my scathing blog on some Madison Avenue commercial endeavors, I thought a balance of the scale was in order.   I saw this commercial on daytime TV today.

A little boy writing notes and folding them into paper airplanes…..tossing them over his neighbor’s high fence to soar across the sea to a father stationed in the military.

So many airplanes, so many dreams……..

So much litter for an elderly neighbor.    Forward to the same neighbor taping up a cardboard box.   Forward to a soldier opening same box brimming with paper airplanes.

Forward to the look on a little boy’s face when the mail came…….and a box of answered dreams, folded into paper airplanes, brimming out of the box, filling a heart to the brim.

This commercial said so much………so much of kindness, so much of faith……so much of what should be seen……..the commercial, a paper product……the result, this blog, soaring through the air via the internet on cyber wings…..<3

Blessings,

Shirl
