“Where’s Lassie When You Need Him?”

On this day,  Baby Jessica rescued from a well , 1987

If you aren’t old enough to remember, you can click on the above link to learn the story.

I feel like the earth is being sucked into a well now…….war, pandemics, global warming……..who will rescue us.   Can the world come together like that community in 1987 to rescue a baby girl, or will the world separate into their own corners of annihilation fear, mistrust, and oblivion.

I wish I felt more optimistic; I wish I knew there were Lassies waiting at the edge of the abyss, to pull us all out into the sunshine.

Hoping you bask in that little patch of sunlight today and always……….

On a final note……homage of one of my favorite writers…..Oct 16, 1854, Oscar Wilde’s birthday.   We could all learn a thing or two from his story, “The Happy Prince.”   If you have never read it, I urge you to do so.
