“Sleepy Hollow, Episode 2”

I paint.  There is a balance between stopping too soon and adding too much to a piece.

I fear the writers will have to maintain that balance; and it is not an easy thing to do.  Last night’s show was a resurrection of the “kindred…… a blended  creation of Ben Franklin, Dr. Frankenstein, and the Headless Horseman himself………

But watching it felt like that moment when I choose to finish a painting or add just a few more strokes on a tree, a flower, or face.

Sometimes, the end result is what I hoped to attain; sometimes it was just one stroke too many………

It takes a lot of imagination to write a series like this; sometimes imaginations can get carried away and add so many pen strokes the original scene becomes overwhelmed and blurred.

Sleepy Hollow hasn’t yet….I hope the canvas doesn’t take on too many strokes and the original painting doesn’t get blended into obscurity.Ichabod

Just my musings……..comments always welcome here.

For those near to Gettysburg, I will be book signing at the Gettysburg Battlefield Preservation Society Storefront, on York Street, this Saturday.  Part of all the sales of my books will go to the worthy cause of battlefield preservation.   1:30 p.m.
