“Men and Gods”

There is a thought provoking article (linked below) on the strides in science by a team in Japan……..the ability to “grow” human organs inside the bodies of pigs.
The lines between gods and men are becoming more and more blurred…..the human race and technology are attempting realities that were once the scenes from science fiction and horror tales.
There are moral questions here……..
Pigs are intelligent and feeling beings. What many look upon as just a food source is so similar to man in physical structure that this scientific procedure is feasible. And too few realize how intelligent these beings are…..able to suffer fear, grief, love……..
The moral questions will not be easy.
Suppose your baby were dying and needed a transplant on a waiting list too long to see her survival……What if a pig organ could save her life or extend it long enough for a human procedure to be received?
Who will be given power to make these decisions……who among us may act as God…
Perhaps other races in the Universe look down upon us as just pigs in a vastness of alien gods…..Perhaps our DNA is just close enough to be a human crop to be harvested and used …..
Who can and will decide?………….
