We have all read this story……….

Couple divorcing, dogs dumped at the shelter……….many times, siblings.

Many times, old siblings, if the marriage had longevity.

I understand divorce is a tornado……..upheaval in the life and home.   I understand financial hardships and living situation disruptions.

But when you take a life into your guardianship, isn’t that a promise to care for that life through the unforeseen changes in the road ahead……..

There might be tornadoes in that road……..

Are dogs possessions like the family Ford, or are they beings with a soul and heart,  children that remain needy and dependent on the care of loving parents.

Why does  society think less of one life that loves within the home…………..even when the guardians end that love between themselves.

It seems our society is becoming more a throwaway society……if it’s old, if it’s a burden, if it’s in the way on that road to the future………then just drop it off.

Many times, that drop off time means the end of the road for a loving heart…. a truer heart than beat between the two spouses that once called it theirs.
