“The Gorgeous Nothings”

There is a poignant new book out for those who love the writings of Emily Dickinson.  It is a compilation of all the tiny scraps and envelopes, where emotions of life are scrawled and scribbled.

Though no comparison in eloquence, I have a stash of scribbles and scraps…..writings and poems scattered amidst piles of paper and possessions.  It makes me smile to see this in common with Emily.  One day my scraps and scribbles will be found.   Some tossed, perhaps some saved as remembrance for this writer’s own attempts at eloquence.

The book is plain…..stark in appearance except for the scraps.  But the scraps speak for themselves…..quite eloquently.
