“Sometimes, what you wish for is just down the Road”

I love donkeys, I have written about the legend of the donkey’s cross in an earlier blog. I always dream of having a menagerie, donkeys, miniature horses, goats, lambs…..you get the picture…..
I have a barn in Gettysburg. I dream to someday fill it with little hooves. Perhaps a miniature horse or donkey.
I see a lot of little horses and donkeys on Facebook, up for adoption, in various parts of the country. Logistically, I often thought, how would I bring one home……
Searching Facebook last week, I discovered a miniature donkey farm right down the road from my farmhouse….
Sometimes, the things you wish for are right down the road.
That donkey farm is a dangerous thing….especially for my poor husband.
I can see it now……me one day leading a tiny donkey down the road in Gettysburg….perhaps my book sequel will be “Birdsong, Brays, and Banter”……..

To read more of my present Menagerie……
