“A Spirit and her Little Ghost Dog”

Today’s page pays homage to Edith Wharton…….
If you have never read her works…I recommend you do.
Ethan Frome is a tale of imprisonment, not by bars, but by circumstances in life…….Edith also felt trapped in a life of what was expected …… perhaps that is why Ethan Frome rings of such tragic truth…..
Once can visit Edith’s home today. It is called “The Mount,” a magnificent place where the spirit of Edith is still thought to roam, complete with a little ghost dog at her side.

No longer trapped by life, by society’s limitations, Edith’s spirit can “live” in happiness, with love at her side.

Happy Birthday, Edith.

Here is the link to Edith’s magnificent home……..Visit and you might be lucky enough to see the wispy silhouette of a woman and her little dog……..
