“Garlic, Spirits, and Vampires”

Fist cold of the season…….I saw it coming, I was surrounded……
So, what any Italian girl would do….a nice pot of soup, laden with garlic, simmering on the stove.
Garlic….one of nature’s cure alls….and, as an added bonus, safety from bloodsuckers of the night.
My name, Knobloch, means garlic…….it is spelled Knobloch, Knoblauch, depending on who was recording the registry when my husband’s ancestors descended onto Ellis Island.
A smile comes to my face, when I think of it…….names often bear meaning to ancestral professions…..my own family name paid homage to stonemasons with admirable craftsmanship. So perhaps Van Helsing had apprenctices in the dark woods, and a family name became the nemisis for whom they sought…….
Now, an apprentice teams up with a girl who works with unseen energies and spirits……
The Universe has a witty sense of humor………
Good Health for the New Year………
