“Thanksgiving Table”

This has been a tumultuous time for me and my family……though we have fared well amidst the storm survivors.

We didn’t lose anything more than a few tree limbs, roof shingles, and power…….

Life sometimes brings storms…….

Sometimes, with the help of meteorologists, you see them coming.

Sometimes, you don’t.

Some storms happen in the blink of an eye…..one minute the sun is shining, the next minute, a heavy, dark cloud looms overhead.

This Thanksgiving, take a moment to be grateful for each moment in the sunshine.

…….

Each moment in an ordinary day……

Because life sometimes brings storms……if you’re lucky, you fare well.

The dark cloud passes, you once again bathe in the sunlight.

Remember all those still waiting for that sun to come out, and all those who will never have an ordinary day again……

Take a moment to wish them sunlight, in a world that sometimes bring storms.

As each new ordinary day passes, it is human nature to forget the storms, or think only the other person will be in that dark cloud’s way.

As you sit down with family this Thanksgiving, remember those lives touched by dark clouds and storms, some they expected, some hidden by an ordinary day’s blue sky.

Thanksgiving Blessings,

Shirl
