Today, homage to John Ronald Reuel Tolkien, who left mortal earth on this day, in 1973. But his legacy of a land of Middle Earth is left for ours and future generations to dream upon in wonder.
Why is it, the more technologically advanced we become, the more our souls long for Middle Earth, with wizards and elves and magick…..
Perhaps the depths of our souls embrace these things; Tolkien’s books provide a passage there, where we can wander into these depths of wonder and magick and still come back to our waiting IPods and Computers.
His legacy of stories, as precious as a ring of gold………will be cherished until our souls no longer need to wander.
Always remember…….”Not all who wander are lost”*…………………
*“All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, a light from the shadows shall spring; renenwed shall be blade that was broken, the crownless again shall be king.” JRR Tolkien.
