When my grandson was born, and my daughter told me his name, this poem immediately came to mind….
I know he will have miles to go before he sleeps……
Enjoy this poem today…….
Blessings on the miles in life’s journeys…..take time to rest and enjoy the passages, but yearn for living until the last crunch of snow underfoot.
Eloquence in poetry most often goes hand in hand with a journey of depression and heartache; the poet was no stranger to either.
Remembering this gift by Robert Frost……..
And remember all the promises you pledged to keep along your way today…..
For today, Robert Frost’s poignant
“Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening”
Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
