“Thomas……Save a Chair”………..

Sometimes, I feel like Burgess Meredith……..

Do you remember that Twilight Zone episode……

All he wanted in the world was a quiet spot to read his beloved books……

He finds that spot …..

left alone in the ruins of a world destroyed by war…….

Bliss…….a world of books……nothing to do but read…….

Until, he breaks his glasses……

I love books……they are part of my home’s décor…….

Books I have read……..some books I pass along after I have read their tales……

Most I like to keep…..they become literature “friends”……

There are so many books yet to be read…..so many “wish lists” on Amazon…..

Each day, new finds and old treasures…..
One lifetime isn’t long enough…….

There aren’t enough moments and quiet spots in one’s time here to discover them all……

I have often said Heaven for me must be filled with animals……..

Throw in a library……or two…..

 “I cannot live without books”

Thomas Jefferson

True, in this world…….and perhaps, the next………

Thomas………

Put a little reserved sign on one of those library chairs or one of those celestial Kindle monitors, (though I much prefer the feel of earthly pages between my spirit hands)….

I promise I will be quiet……….

Namaste,

Shirl
